Wine Dinners at Brookside Inn
“It’s all about the Food” has been our motto since long before opening the Inn. Over the summer of 2008, we hosted a series of wine maker dinners prepared by top chefs in the northwest. The goal of these dinners is to experience great wine, great food in a relaxed and elegant environment with guests who appreciate a unique dining experience. Whether the dinner was served in the great room, on the porch, or on the lawn under the trees, our guests have enjoyed their time at the table.We plan to continue offering these dinners to our guests. Upcoming Dinners:
Brookside Inn will host a special dinner on Saturday, November 26th. Chef Abby McManigle will pair her fine cuisine with Ghost Hill Cellars wines. Dinner will begin in the Great Room at 6:30.
Chef Abby McManigle studied and trained in the Bay Area prior to moving to Oregon to enjoy the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Graduate of California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Abby worked alongside highly talented Chefs for which San Francisco is known. She immerses herself in everything food and wine. Ghost Hill Cellars is owned by Mike and Dendra Bayliss. The property has been in the Bayliss family since 1906; however, the conversion from cattle farming to vineyards started in 1999. The Ghost Hill name is based on a Legend dating back to gold rush days in the early 1860’s. Read about their wine and details of The Legend on their website.
